Feldmuehle ended insolvency proceedings

Feldmuehle GmbH, European specialty paper manufacturer, has successfully completed the self-administration insolvency proceedings that began at the end of 2018. After the unanimous approval of all creditors on December 16, 2019 to the insolvency plan submitted by the management, the competent court in Pinneberg suspended the insolvency proceedings on January 2, 2020. The insolvency proceedings are now over.

Kornit Digital for direct-to-garment printing

Kornit Digital, a worldwide actor in digital textile printing technology, announced that Textil del Valle South America, a vertically integrated garment manufacturing company based in Peru, has chosen to implement Kornit’s digital direct-to-garment (DTG) printing technology at its 1.1 million-square-foot facility in Lima, Peru. Record turnover of more than 8 billion euros

The Italian packaging machinery industry continues to grow, its total turnover exceeding the record figure of 8 billion euros registered in 2019. According to the preliminary figures published by the Research Department of Ucima (Italian packaging machinery manufacturers’ association), the sector has seen 1.8% growth this year.

The specialty chemicals group Altana is taking over the Swiss overprint varnish specialist Schmid Rhyner AG, thereby strategically expanding its Actega division. “In acquiring Schmid Rhyner, we are continuing to systematically pursue the Altana strategy of generating value-creating growth through targeted acquisitions,” says Martin Babilas, CEO of Altana AG.

Production line running at full capacity

EMVA announces change in Presidency

The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) announced that Chris Yates will adopt the role of President of the EMVA effective from the 1st January 2020. Chris will succeed Jochem Herrmann, the current President of the EMVA, who has held the role since 2015 and now decided to step down to be able to spend more time with his family. According to the association statutes, the decision to elect the new President was agreed by the Board of Directors of the EMVA during a recent board meeting in Berlin where Chris Yates was elected unanimously.

Universal conveyor clears the way

Linus Wittich Media Group counts among the largest publishers of local newspapers in Germany. The Group also operates three printing plants, the largest being Druckhaus Wittich KG Föhren in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate: from here alone, around 200 local newspaper titles leave the presses every week. Feldmuehle GmbH completed restructuring

On December 16, 2019, the creditors of Feldmuehle GmbH unanimously approved the insolvency plan submitted by the company as part of a voting appointment at the district court in Pinneberg/Germany. This ensures the continuation of the company. The insolvency proceedings will be cancelled this year.
