The connection is made via a high speed ethernet network. The FiberScanFIX system employs microwaves, so there is no necessity to obtain permissions to use, store or transport, like traditional gamma gauges. The sensors allows an unique and impressive reading range, up to 44,000g/m2, with a precision of 0,01%. Inside the sensor there are no moving nor optical parts, so the maintenance is virtually erased.

According to Cristini, the patented microwave technology is extremely accurate, compared to old radioactive meters, infrared or radiofrequency technologies. The system is insensitive to paper color, and emissivity, while a special technology measures and compensate any water parameter changes.
