Color-Logic has certified the Fujifilm Revoria PC1120 Digital Press with the Fujifilm GX Server. The qualification materials submitted to Color-Logic verified the ability of the Revoria Press/GX Server configuration to print Color-Logic metallic colors and embellishments. The Revoria Press/GX Server configuration is compatible with the Color-Logic system when using silver ink with CMYK on paper, or when using white ink with CMYK on metallic stock.
Rondo Ganahl, corrugated board and packaging manufacturer, has unveiled plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary milestone and official opening of a digital print production plant in a €25 million investment. The company in Styria, Austria, is determined to capitalize on continued business growth where digital production volumes continue to rise by 25 to 30% a year.

Thomas Ott, 54, has been appointed CEO of the Flexible Packaging and Engineered Materials business units at Mondi earlier this year. Born in Vienna, Thomas looks back on an impressive international career, including time spent in Italy and the USA. He began his career at Mondi in 1995 as a financial controller and took on leading positions in various business sectors in the following years. His last job was with the packaging manufacturer Amcor in Switzerland.
Vogel Druck und Medienservice GmbH (Vogel Druck) in Höchberg, Germany – part of the Bertelsmann Printing Group (BPG) – is aiming to cut its CO2 emissions to net zero by the end of 2022. In pursuing this aim, Vogel Druck is supporting the goal of the Bertelsmann Group to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. Vogel Druck intends to meet its net-zero target by completely avoiding CO2 emissions in certain areas, reducing them in others, and offsetting a portion by buying emissions certificates accredited by VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) and Gold Standard.

At the upcoming FESPA Global Print Expo 2022 (31 May to 3 June) in Berlin, specialty papers manufacturer Sappi will be showcasing its extensive portfolio of coated and uncoated dye sublimation papers, containerboard and silicone base papers. At Europe’s most significant trade fair for screen and digital printing, large-format printing and textile printing, visitors to stand 4.2-D20 will have an opportunity to see for themselves the many qualities and diverse applications of Sappi’s papers.

Durst announces the 500th customer installation of Durst Workflow Software. This milestone highlights Durst Group's transformation from a press manufacturer to a solutions provider (“Pixel to Output”) in the digital printing industry. Founded in 2019, the Durst Software & Solutions Division now has more than 60 employees and has developed Durst Workflow, the “most comprehensive software solution in the market that is also open to third-party providers”, and successfully integrated it into its customers' production.
In 2021, the number of counterfeit euro banknotes withdrawn from circulation was at a historically low level. Among other things, this is due to the fact that banknotes are becoming increasingly counterfeit-proof. The cooperation between Koenig & Bauer Banknote Solutions and the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences is making an important contribution to this. It enables new authentication solutions that work via smartphone. The joint venture Coverno was now integrated into Koenig & Bauer's core business.
Due to continuing high cost and volatility in raw materials, energy and transportation Sappi Europe will be forced to increase its prices to its European customers by 8% from 15 May. This is in addition to previously communicated increases.
