XSYS launches EcoFillX in support of extended sustainability commitment
XSYS has announced the introduction of EcoFillX, an innovative software feature developed for ThermoFlexX imagers, which promises to significantly reduce washout solvent usage. Targeting the non-image areas of photopolymer printing plates, EcoFillX represents another important step towards improving the sustainability of the flexographic platemaking process.

Scodix: New product lineup at drupa
Scodix, provider of digital embellishment solutions, gears up for a display at drupa as it announces that two new presses will be launched at the show, the Scodix Ultra 2500 SHD and the Scodix Ultra 6500 SHD. In addition to Scodix SHD (Smart High Definition) technology, the two new presses also see the debut of Scodix MLE (Multi-layer Enhancement) and Scodix AI, an automated embellishment creator tool.

Xaar’s Ultra High Viscosity Technology is enabling Koenig & Bauer Kammann (Kammann) to drive its latest innovations by enhancing quality, speed, and sustainability for customers using its K15 and K20 decorative print machine families. Utilising the new high viscosity fluids developed by global ink manufacturer Marabu, Kammann’s machines allow both new and current customers to create personalised embossed effects on glass bottles, plastic and metal containers at a build height of up to 3mm.

Kodak has launched version 10.0 of web-based Kodak Prinergy Insite Portals that provide authorized users with 24/7 access from anywhere. With version 10.0, Kodak has upgraded the Kodak Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal (IPP) and the Kodak Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow (ICW) with multiple new enhancements. This includes improved usability thanks to collapsible Job Group lists in IPP to reduce the amount of scrolling.

UPM Raflatac reveals the power of labels to drive purchasing and influence tasting experience
UPM Raflatac has released the findings of a new neuromarketing study. Results show the power of different label materials and finishes to shape consumer perceptions and drive purchasing. Focused on white wine labels, the research carried out in collaboration with partners in the packaging value chain, Argea, SenseCatch, Kurz, and Krämer Druck, shows that label material and finishes all have a significant part to play in consumer purchasing behavior and post-purchase enjoyment. The research has been summarized in a book, which also features a foreword by Uwe Melichari, a sustainable packaging expert, designer, and Pentawards jury member. The book is available in three languages and as a digital version.
