Heidelberg showcases autonomous pressroom at drupa
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is using its new Peak Performance generation of the Speedmaster XL 106 to address the major challenges facing print shops – huge cost pressures, the manifest shortage of labor and skilled workers, and the growing sustainability requirements in printing. Mondi and Meurer wake up coffee wrapping with new paper solution
Mondi has created a new secondary paper packaging solution for wrapping bundles of food and drinks, replacing plastic shrink film that has been the industry standard. The new paper solution, TrayWrap, is made with Mondi’s Advantage StretchWrap and is being used by a coffee brand to secure 12 coffee packages for transportation across Sweden.

Touch7 to unveil Neon Color System at drupa
Touch7 will debut its Neon Color System™ at drupa 2024. Attendees can experience the future of color reproduction firsthand on the Ricoh stand in Hall 8A, where Touch7 will showcase its latest innovation. Touch7 is compatible with Ricoh neon pink and yellow inks on their new Ricoh Pro 7500. At drupa 2024, attendees will see Touch7 expanded gamut and pastel colors utilizing these inks for vector colors. The Touch7 System also includes the Touch7 Photo Neon plugin for PhotoShop, which adds neon inks into images with just one mouse click, with no manual masking.

Xeikon unveils new 1200 dpi inkjet press for high-end label segment
Xeikon has announced details of the next evolution Panther inkjet technology as the press manufacturer prepares for the world premiere of the Xeikon PX3300HD, a new 1200 dpi digital press that will be launched at drupa 2024. Developed for high quality labels, the five-color machine offers a 330mm printing width and speeds up to 70 m/min, even when printing with high opacity white. In addition, Xeikon PX3300HD utilizes a newly developed ink series, PX-Cure LED HD, to ensure perfect curing, while supporting sustainability targets for converters.
XSYS launches EcoFillX in support of extended sustainability commitment
XSYS has announced the introduction of EcoFillX, an innovative software feature developed for ThermoFlexX imagers, which promises to significantly reduce washout solvent usage. Targeting the non-image areas of photopolymer printing plates, EcoFillX represents another important step towards improving the sustainability of the flexographic platemaking process.

Scodix: New product lineup at drupa
Scodix, provider of digital embellishment solutions, gears up for a display at drupa as it announces that two new presses will be launched at the show, the Scodix Ultra 2500 SHD and the Scodix Ultra 6500 SHD. In addition to Scodix SHD (Smart High Definition) technology, the two new presses also see the debut of Scodix MLE (Multi-layer Enhancement) and Scodix AI, an automated embellishment creator tool.
