FESPA 2020 events to return to Madrid in October 2020

FESPA announced that its flagship event, Global Print Expo, will return to IFEMA – Feria de Madrid from 6 – 8 October 2020, along with its co-located events, European Sign Expo and Sportswear Pro. The three exhibitions, which were originally scheduled to take place from 24 – 27 March, had to be postponed due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 outbreak in mainland Europe.

Heidelberg: Action package to increase profitability / Reduction in force by up to 2,000 jobs

The Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) on Tuesday adopted a wide-ranging action package, as announced last year, for a short-term reduction in structural costs and long-term improvements in the Company’s profitability. Focus on the profitable core business and systematic streamlining of the cost base are geared to delivering a €100 million improvement in EBITDA, excluding the restructuring result. At the same time, a return transfer of liquidity reserves from the trust fund will almost completely eliminate net debt, thereby significantly improving Heidelberg’s financial stability.

Third RotaJet for decor printer

Interprint GmbH from Arnsberg, Germany, since October 2019 a member of the Toppan Group, is continuing its successful investment strategy in digital print. The company recently ordered yet another RotaJet digital web press from Koenig & Bauer. The new press is scheduled to enter production in the first half of 2021. With the RotaJet 225, Interprint will be able to process web widths up to 225 cm.

FESPA 2020 events postponed!

In light of the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 in mainland Europe, and in close dialogue with its national Associations and exhibitors, FESPA has today taken the decision to postpone FESPA Global Print Expo 2020, European Sign Expo 2020 and Sportswear Pro 2020, originally scheduled to take place at IFEMA Madrid from 24 to 27 March 2020. Based on feedback from exhibitors, FESPA will now seek to reschedule the events for a later date, precise timing and venue still to be determined based on venue availability.
