Heidelberg increases press exports from Chinese production operations

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for printing systems, particularly in the Asian core markets, is nearing pre-crisis levels again. The same applies to the production volumes of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) at its site in Shanghai. Accordingly, the company has also progressively increased exports of its printing presses manufactured in China.

Feldmuehle GmbH, manufacturer of label and flexible packaging papers, will increase prices for wet strength label paper qualities by 8% as of April 2021. After a long period of stable prices, Feldmuehle had been under severe pressure and had to decide in favour of this step.

Eagle Systems custom fits Litho Press with cold foil system

Eagle Systems, Inc., a U.S. based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment, announced that Litho Press has installed an Eco-Eagle Cold Foil Module on their ManRoland 900 HiPrint press. The installation, which was just completed in January, was no easy feat due to the physical restrictions of the building.

Global packaging and paper group Mondi and Tesco Central Europe have launched a new partnership, in which Mondi will purchase the retailer’s warehouse corrugated waste to create recycled paper for the retailers' shopping bags. Tesco is working towards a net zero emission goal, in line with its sustainability targets to remove, reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible and Mondi is able to contribute to this vision with its customer-centric approach, EcoSolutions.
