At this year’s METPACK, hubergroup Print Solutions presents its comprehensive portfolio for metal decoration at hall 1, booth 1B11, underlining its position as a one-stop partner for metal packaging printers worldwide. Royal Geostick invests in 12 color Bobst Master M5
Royal Geostick Group has purchased a new Bobst Master M5 flexo press, purpose-built for the high-volume multilayer label production that its customers increasingly demand. Configured with 12 flexo units, a double unwinder, QN module and oneECG-readiness, the Master M5 press will shortly be installed at Royal Geostick’s facility in Uithoorn, Netherlands, where it will strengthen the company’s ability to deliver efficient, sustainable production for medium and long-run label applications.

With projected gross domestic product (GDP) growth of around two and three percent, respectively, over the next few years, these countries are demonstrating stable economic development. Increasing prosperity, combined with a more urban lifestyle, is also driving up demand for printed packaging solutions.

MPH invests in Shine LED Lamp Kit
Flexo prepress specialist MPH Ltd is among the latest UK trade shops to take the fast, affordable, straightforward route into LED plate exposure with the Shine LED Lamp Kit, innovated by Miraclon. The Shine LED Lamp Kit was fitted to a Vianord flexo plate exposure unit, supplied by Clarkson Services, and, says MPH director Ian Runacres, “is delivering all the benefits we anticipated. Exposures are on average 30% faster, consistent, and plate behaviour is utterly predictable. At present, more than 80% of our plates - from various suppliers - are exposed using Shine LED lamps.”
