MGI Digital Graphic Technology, the French manufacturer of digital printing and finishing solutions, will showcase their latest innovations for the industrial plastic card manufacturing industry at the Cartes 2013 show, held at the Parc des Expositions de Villepinte in Paris November 19th to 21st, 2103 (Hall 3, D073).
Jetcard 3D: New possibilities for the digital "Card Factory"
The Jetcard 3D, a fully digital and industrial inkjet plastic card production unit that combines up to five pieces of equipment used in traditional card manufacturing, will showcase its latest innovations:
The Jetcard 3D remains one of the most efficient and productive solutions for industrial plastic card manufacturing:
Embossing and Hot Foil stamping go digital with iFoil
The latest value-added solution to come out of MGI’s R&D, the iFoil digital hot foil stamping solution, will be previewed at Cartes 2013. The iFoil is a module that works in sync with the Jetvarnish 3D digital spot UV coater, and the combination of these two devices can produce the following finishes at industrial speeds:
This package allows for the card manufacturers to apply all these effects onto offset or digitally printed sheets (up to 52x105mm format) onto PVC, PET or Teslin or paper. The production of cards with embossed and metallic numbers is also possible thanks to the 100% digital process.
Packing innovation into the SonicSeal
The SonicSeal is the newest card packing solution developed by Kora- Packmat , an MGI group company. With a speed of up to 6,000 cards per hour, the SonicSeal allows for the efficient packaging and ultrasonic sealing of individual cards or linked packages of flat products up to 3.5 mm thick. An optional camera can also be added to read printed data from the cards and adjust for the proper sequencing data.
MGI will also present three well known digital plastic card production systems:
All these solutions can be seen live on MGI booth at Cartes 2013 (Hall 3, Stand D073).
