MM Board & Paper expands renewable portfolio

MM Board & Paper has expanded its portfolio of machine-finished kraft papers with the launch of MM Polar® Plus. The new innovation delivers on customer demands for high-performance, renewable options for single-use bags, fast food packaging, food contact materials, and more.

The new launch includes three grammages – 40, 45, and 50 g/m2 – as part of an exciting addition to the already popular MM Polar® range. MM Polar® Plus has been carefully designed to offer a pristine, smooth surface and superior formation for high-quality converting results, making it a versatile platform for various coating and varnishing applications where reliable printability is essential. Each grammage is made from 100% elemental chlorine-free (ECF) virgin fibres. MM Polar® Plus is suitable for food and non-food applications and provides a consistent base for PE coating where additional grease, moisture or oxygen barrier performance is required.

Markus Nöcker, VP of Sales UFP and PKP at MM Board & Paper, said, “We are committed to delivering innovations that add value to our customers’ operations. MM Polar® Plus is the latest demonstration of that commitment. Our customers tell us they need future-proof solutions that help them meet evolving sustainability and compliance demands without compromising on performance or profitability, and this latest addition to the MM portfolio was developed with their needs front of mind.”

MM Polar® Plus offers uniform brightness across all three grammages. Its consistent surface properties and formation help maintain dependable print performance and a coherent visual appearance across different packaging formats.

MM Polar® Plus is produced at MM Board & Paper’s renowned Kwidzyn mill in Poland. The site possesses a range of environmental and quality management certifications, including leading chain-of-custody and responsible forest management certificates, as well as ISO 9001 quality management standards.
