The industry-wide GS1 Sunrise 2027 initiative is accelerating the transition from linear barcodes to 2D codes. These codes can carry richer information such as production data, batch numbers, serial codes, and expiry dates. Atlantic Zeiser’s late-stage printing technology supports this change by enabling the embedding of diverse data directly into 2D codes.
