LegoDigit installs HP Indigo 15K and HP PageWide 2200

Based in Lavis in the province of Trento, Italy, book manufacturer LegoDigit was founded in 2013 and has since become a reliable player in the production of books across Italy. LegoDigit prides itself on its vision that technological innovation drives value for its customers. By installing the HP Indigo 15K and HP PageWide Advantage 2200, LegoDigit drives forward technological innovation whilst simultaneously delivering on sustainability.

Since installing the two digital presses, the Trentino company has expanded its catalog of the latest generation of digital print systems. Doing so, LegoDigit offers customers a competitive edge in terms of productivity, efficiency and print quality due to HP’s modern and integrated finishing solutions. Furthermore, the HP Indigo 15K can print on a wide range of media materials, with seven ink stations, including unlimited combinations, white inks and Pantone colors.

Productivity is guaranteed by automation tools, workflow optimization and control programs. The technological innovations across the HP Indigo and HP PageWide portfolios allow PSPs to increased volume and more jobs per press, requiring less manpower. Through leveraging AI and automation technologies, PSPs optimize production floors through consistent and reliable processes.

Last year, LegoDigit was the first book manufacturer in Italy to install the new HP PageWide Advantage 2200, which significantly increased quality and performance compared to the technologies previously used. With the investment the two presses, LegoDigit ensures:

  • Efficient productivity: A printing speed of 152 meters/min in color and 244 meters/min in black and white, with printing volumes of up to 58 million color pages per month.
  • Greater print quality: New HP Brilliant inks and print heads with a native resolution of 2,400 DPI.
  • Versatility: A wide range of weights managed from 40 g/m2 up to 300 g/m2, on both natural and coated matt and glossy offset papers.
  • Sustainability: HP PageWide Advantage 2200 includes HP’s High Efficiency Drying (HED) system, which is essential for reducing energy consumption, guaranteeing a recirculation of approximately 80% of the air heated during the drying process.

“Thanks to HP technology we have had the opportunity to grow in terms of productivity, quality, and efficiency, thus optimizing the effectiveness of our company's production processes,” says Alessandro Leto, CEO of LegoDigit. “HP Indigo and PageWide WebPress solutions have been enabling factors in this transformation journey."

HP's technologies are in tune with LegoDigit's needs both in terms of improving productivity and quality, and sustainable development. HP collaborates with its customers to achieve ambitious sustainability goals, thanks to printing technologies with reduced environmental impact, adapting to the circular economy thanks to continuous technological innovation, a field in which HP has been a leader for over a decade. The automation and optimization of production processes guarantees LegoDigit adequately responds to the needs of quality, productivity and sustainability that the publishing market requires today.
