Lanxess increases prices for hexanediol again

Specialty chemicals company Lanxess is raising its prices for 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) globally with immediate effect. The increase amounts for EUR 1,200 per metric ton. HDO is an important precursor for high performance coatings, fibers, adhesives, polyurethanes, polycarbonate diols, and as reactive diluent for epoxy resins. Prices had already been raised by 300 euros in September to absorb increased energy costs.
