FINAT Young Managers Club (YMC) goes global

After a successful summit last year, the FINAT Young Managers Club (YMC) is holding its first ever Global YMC Congress, open to both YMC members and non-members, at Westin Hotel in Berlin, Germany on 28-30 November 2012.

The Young Managers - Truly International
One of the most notable recent FINAT innovations has been the establishment of the Young Managers Club for industry managers under-40. Meanwhile the club has expanded significantly on its initial focus of succession planning within the many industry SMEs. "Since its origin in 2009, FINAT’s YMC has run several successful meetings and workshops from which the idea to organize a first global congress was born," says Francesc Egea, of IPE Innovaciones Para Etiquetajes, Spain and chairman of YMC. "Meanwhile we are pleased to see the progress we have made in our global approach by collaborating with our colleagues from LMAI in India, TLMI in US and VskE in Germany - the hosting association/country of this very first edition."

“To date we have attracted 63 members from across the globe. They represent a mix of managers from local family run businesses, but also middle- and higher-level managers from larger label converters and suppliers alike. As in our industry in general, we have predominantly male members, hence I'd like to launch a call particularly to all female professionals to join and strengthen our YMC," says Dana Kilarska of, Purgina, Slovakia, board member and treasurer of YMC.
