GRA International Gravure Award 2025

The Global Rotogravure Association is proud to announce the winners of this year’s International Gravure Awards — honouring excellence, innovation, and sustainability in gravure printing. The awards were presented during the gala dinner of the International Gravure Days, held from 20 to 22 October 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Florya in Istanbul.

Gold Award – Innovation

Bobst – smartGravure

Bobst’s smartGravure impressed the jury with its transformative impact on the industry. This intelligent system integrates Pantone colour validation, a closed-loop process for automatic colour correction, and the use of Extended Colour Gamut (ECG). It allows small and medium print runs to achieve consistent, high-end results while reducing waste and setup times. A decisive step toward digitalised, data-driven gravure production.

Gold Award – Packaging

Janoschka – Japris

The Japris project by Janoschka demonstrates a brilliant fusion of creativity and technology. Using a resource-friendly process, it creates eye-catching special effects without the need for foils or embossing tools. The result: a sustainable decorative finish that maintains the tactile feel of the surface while reducing material and energy consumption – a great example of how design and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Silver Award – Innovation

Enulec – AST Technology

Enulec’s AST Technology offers a practical and cost-saving innovation for gravure converters. By replacing traditional adhesive tapes with magnetic fields, the system reduces maintenance, improves machine uptime, and enhances electrostatic control across the entire process chain. Its versatility makes it valuable not only for printing presses but also for laminating and coating lines, contributing to higher process efficiency and safety.

Silver Award – Packaging

Korozo – Recyclable Mono PE Pouch

Korozo’s entry sets a high technical benchmark for recyclable flexible packaging. The pouch features a highly complex print design, including precise register alignment and fine negative text printed in two colours – proof that premium aesthetics are compatible with monomaterial sustainability. A great example of how gravure printing continues to evolve for the circular economy.

Special Award

Windmöller & Hölscher – Recyclable Coffee Packaging

This project shows what is achievable in gravure printing when sustainability leads innovation. The recyclable coffee packaging from W&H stands out through exceptional print quality combined with eco-friendly materials and industrial scalability. The jury praised it as a true showcase for the future of sustainable gravure printing – an inspiration for the entire industry.

Congratulations to all winners and finalists!
