Dear reader,

we prefer positive thinking to negative headlines for our industry. But the news of Koenig & Bauer, the oldest printing press factory in the world, arrived just in the middle of the peaceful advent season. According the the local newspaper, FAZ, they will shed 1500 jobs. This was to be expected, and the faster they improve their bottom line, the better. Sure it's painful that jobs disappear - but this happens to a lot of companies in a changing economic situation, and is quite normal. Read about this and more in the last newsletter for this year, and have  a peaceful holiday and a happy new year!

Cheers,
