it was pleasant: during the entire last, half year, the printing industry remained cautiously optimistic, it seemed as if the worst is over and the industry was again following the overall economic development. But the current economic BVDM (German Assoc. Print & Media) report shows a more negative assessment. One should not exaggerate - but certainly this is a signal that the industry has by no means overcome their crisis. They predict that only innovative products and new technologies guarantee a future in printing. But of course, there are other print markets playing an important role also, such as China and South Africa.
