Dear Printmirror | Druckspiegel reader,

much of what Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG has attemped in terms of digital printing in recent years, was unsuspected, half-hearted and sometimes rather short-lived: The NexPress has gone entirely to Kodak, CSAT was sold again a little more than two years after being taken over, the acclaimed collaboration with Landa announced at the Drupa 2012 one doesn’t hear about anymore and the cooperation with Ricoh has hardly left the stage of a sales partnership. So now Heidelberg CEO Gerold Linz has untertaken a new approach with Fujifilm – and the industry is excited with suspense.

In Hanover, the Inprint, the first trade fair for industrial printing, comes to a close today. Whether business for the classic printing industry was successful here, we will have to wait and see, but our impression was positive. Please find more recent news below and on our homepage daily.

Sincerely,
