Kodak: Prinergy Insite Portals Version 10.0

Kodak has launched version 10.0 of web-based Kodak Prinergy Insite Portals that provide authorized users with 24/7 access from anywhere. With version 10.0, Kodak has upgraded the Kodak Prinergy Insite Prepress Portal (IPP) and the Kodak Prinergy Insite Creative Workflow (ICW) with multiple new enhancements. This includes improved usability thanks to collapsible Job Group lists in IPP to reduce the amount of scrolling.

Ferag AG recently carried out a successful revision for Druckzentrum Zürich (DZZ) in order to extend the service life of its production facilities. The focus of this revision was the replacement of the control drum on an MSD inserting drum. The component was in operation since 2001 and needed to be replaced now.

Management change at the top of hubergroup

The management of MHM Holding GmbH is being reorganised. The previous CEO, Heiner Klokkers, has left the company. Two long-standing top managers are moving up to the management of the holding company. Taner Bicer, responsible for the Group's Chemicals Division, and Carsten Zölzer, Head of the Offset Division, are joining the Management Board of MHM Holding GmbH. Both will also remain Managing Directors of hubergroup Deutschland GmbH and retain their current responsibilities. Together with Britta Hübner, responsible for the transformation of the group, they will form the Management Board of MHM Holding GmbH.

Mondi Neusiedler reduces greenhouse gas emissions from its pulp production by over 20%

In April 2023, Mondi announced an investment programme for its uncoated fine paper mill in Lower Austria, Mondi Neusiedler, to increase energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase operational safety at the mill. “We are happy to confirm that projects totalling €20 million have now been clearly defined and approved with work already in progress. These upgrades will help Mondi Neusiedler to reduce the pulp mill´s greenhouse gas emissions by over 20%, while also reducing NOx emissions by up to 10% and gas consumption by around 25%,” explains Sakari Eloranta, Technical Director Uncoated Fine Paper at Mondi.

4evergreen announces new Chair and Co-Chair

4evergreen, Europe’s value chain alliance of over 110 members building a toolbox to propel fibre-based packaging towards a 90% recycling rate by 2030, appoints a new Chair and Co-Chair to lead the alliance. Chair Sarah Price, Director of Sustainability at Sappi and Co-Chair Andreas Walser, Managing Director at Hamburger Recycling , Member of Prinzhorn Group, will help drive the alliance’s strategy towards perfecting fibre-based packaging circularity from the design and manufacture phase to the collection, sorting and recycling of packaging materials.
