The online print shop Saxoprint based in Dresden has recorded double-digit sales growth in recent years, and last year generated sales of over EUR 100 million in the area of commercial online printing as part of the CEWE Group. Its product range has undergone a significant change in this time. Standard commercial printed matter such as flyers, posters, catalogs, and brochures are still the main focus and account for 80 percent of its business, however packaging and finishing represent a large growth market.

7th Rapida 106 at TCPL Packaging08.03.2019

In January, TCPL Packaging threw the switch on a new Rapida 106 at its plant in Goa in Western India. The seven-colour press with coater and extended delivery is already the seventh Rapida 106 sheetfed offset press from Koenig & Bauer to be installed at the company’s various production locations since 2011. Like all the other Rapidas operated by the packaging specialist, it is configured to enable both conventional and UV printing.

Bosch Packaging Technology has launched the first machine of its next generation of flow wrappers on the European and Asian markets – the Pack 403. As the successor of the Pack 401, the Pack 403 is a fully-automated horizontal flow wrapper for medium to high speed wrapping. The narrow machine is ideal for wrapping bars and biscuits, as well as chocolate, cookies and crackers.

Hubei Guangcai orders sixth Rapida19.12.2018

Hubei Guangcai Printing recently ordered a nine-colour Rapida 106 with coater and kit for UV mixed operation from Koenig & Bauer. It will be delivered to the company in Guangshui in the central Chinese province of Hubei in January and will go into operation in April. The press will mainly be used for the production of folding carton and cigarette packaging.

Italian packaging machinery continues its growth18.12.2018

The growth of the Italian packaging machinery manufacturers shows no sign of stopping. According to the preliminary figures published by the Research Department of Ucima (Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association), the sector’s turnover is expected to see further 6.8% growth to 7.7 billion euros in 2018. Both the Italian and international markets have contributed to these results. In 2018, export sales surpassed a value of 6 billion euros, 6.6% up on the previous year.
