In a private transaction with undisclosed terms, Circle Media Group (CMG), a European printing and media group, announces today that it is selling its rotogravure printing company Helprint Oy to Finnish company Printers Group Oy. Intertype previously used Color-Logic on a Fuji Xerox Color 1000i press, so the transition to their new Fuji Xerox Iridesse was effortless. Five years after Kodak Flexcel NX Plate technology made its debut at U. Günther GmbH with the acquisition of a Kodak Flexcel NX Wide 5080 System, a second line of the same type was commissioned in November 2018. U. A Rapida 106 with eight printing units and perfecting for 4-over-4 production has been in operation at Flyeralarm at Druckhaus Mainfranken in Marktheidenfeld, near Wurzburg, since April 2018. The Swiss newspaper market has been in a continual state of flux for several years now. Following Ringier AG’s decision to close its newspaper printing plant in Adligenswil near Lucerne at the end of 2018, the print runs produced there will be transferred to other plants: Blick and Luzerner Zeitung, for example, are already coming out of the Zurich printing centre. That move meant relocating some Ferag machinery as well.
