All American Label Enters Packaging Market

Originally known as "All American Label", the Dublin, California company recently installed three Heidelberg machines to add packaging services to their list of product offerings – inspiring their new name: All American Label and Packaging. The new equipment includes a Suprasetter A 106 CtP, Speedmaster CD 102-6+L, and Easymatrix 106 CS (produced by MK Masterwork and distributed by Heidelberg).

Mimaki participates in "ADAPT" Consortium

President, Kazuaki Ikeda, has announced Mimaki’s participation in the "ADAPT (Additive and Digital Advanced Production Technologies)" consortium launched by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (hereinafter called MIT) as one of the founding members. ADAPT is a consortium directed by MIT professor John Hart, who leads MIT’s Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity. With the aim of supporting the advanced additive manufacturing industry, ADAPT will promote research and education for next-generation manufacturing technology based on AM processes, including 3D printing.

Feldmuehle strengthens its core competence

Feldmuehle GmbH will focus on the production of specialty papers in the future, i.e. wet- and alkali-resistant label papers as well as flexible packaging papers. On November 19, 2018, Feldmuehle GmbH filed for an application with the competent local court in Pinneberg to open insolvency proceedings under its own administration pursuant to Sections 270, 270 a para. 1 InsO (German Insolvency Act).

Komori Europe and Siegwerk have successfully partnered since 2016, when the international manufacturer of printing presses selected Siegwerk, one of the global providers of printing inks for packaging applications and labels, as its European partner to manufacture high sensitivity "K-Supply UV inks" exclusively designed for Komori’s innovative H-UV/ LED system. Together both are now successfully marketing the new inks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and have already built up a strong market position across the region with a continuously growing customer base.
