Heidelberg: Packaging Day at Shanghai plant

Packagings account for around 25 percent of all printed products. At the same time, the packaging market is the strongest growing market segment with around 3 percent on average. The most important region is Asia/Pacific with an annual growth rate of 4.6 percent. It’s the same picture the world over: brand owners have extremely demanding quality standards for folding cartons. The trends are ever declining runs, faster innovation cycles, shorter delivery times, increasing cost pressures, falling margins, more embellishments, zero defect production, and customized packagings.

Image Magic installs 2 Kornit Avalanche systems

Kornit Digital announced that Tokyo-based Image Magic has installed two Kornit Avalanche Poly Pro systems, expanding its longstanding digital direct-to-garment capabilities to imprint polyester and poly-blend fabrics. The move supplements Image Magic’s continuous development of internal efficiencies, and increases capacity for an operation that has observed 40% year-over-year growth. The brand serves a mix of corporate clients, including some of Japan’s leading apparel brands, and general consumers via a predominantly internet-based sales model.

Koenig & Bauer at K 2019

Koenig & Bauer will again be presenting a multitude of new tailored and future-oriented solutions for its customers at this year’s K fair in Düsseldorf. A joint stand measuring 350 m² has been reserved in Hall 4 (B11) as the platform for Koenig & Bauer Kammann and Koenig & Bauer Flexotecnica to showcase a broad portfolio of products for the decoration of hollow containers made of glass, metal and plastic and for the printing of flexible packaging.
