DSM showcases success in scaling 3D printing

Make-Ready combines silkscreen and digital

London-based silkscreen printer Make-Ready has been relying on Nazdar inks, supplied by Screentec Print Essentials, to deliver stunning commissions from artists and art galleries across the UK. Formed in 2017, Make-Ready provides a consultancy-driven silkscreen printing service that utilises a variety of oil-based and water-based ink systems, often bringing several inks together in a single project to achieve the best results. Each project is taken through the company's careful proofing process - whether it is an artist edition or a one-off original artwork - and every variable is investigated to ensure an artwork is correctly interpreted as a silkscreen.

BASF acquires 3D PSP Sculpteo

To continue to expand its position as a leading service provider in the additive manufacturing sector, BASF New Business GmbH has formally agreed to acquire the online 3D printing service provider Sculpteo. The agreement was signed on November 14, 2019 and is expected to become effective in the next few weeks pending regulatory approval by the relevant authorities.

Additive Manufacturing research

Global technology Group Oerlikon, with vast expertise in materials, has entered into an additive manufacturing (AM) research alliance with Linde, an industrial gases company, and the Technical University of Munich (TUM), one of the leading German universities in engineering. The partners aim to develop new high-strength, lightweight aluminum-based alloys that can serve the safety and weight reduction needs of the aerospace and automotive industries. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is funding 50 % of the EUR 1.7 million research project.

Sun Chemical at InPrint Munich 2019

Innovation for sustainable packaging solutions

UL-certified flame-retardant PA6/66 material

Royal DSM, a global science-based company in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living, today announced the release of a new flame-retardant filament material, Novamid® AM1030 FR, the first UL Blue Card-certified filament for open systems. The material enables new applications in the automotive and electronics sectors, amongst others.
