FESPA Global Print Expo returns to Munich

FESPA has launched its visitor campaign for the FESPA 2019 Global Print Expo and the co-located European Sign Expo 2019, which take place from 14 to 17 May 2019 at Messe Munich, Germany. The campaign strapline for both events is 'Explosion of Possibilities', celebrating the multitude of commercial and creative opportunities within the screen and digital wide format, textile printing and signage markets.

Hubei Guangcai orders sixth Rapida

Hubei Guangcai Printing recently ordered a nine-colour Rapida 106 with coater and kit for UV mixed operation from Koenig & Bauer. It will be delivered to the company in Guangshui in the central Chinese province of Hubei in January and will go into operation in April. The press will mainly be used for the production of folding carton and cigarette packaging.

Italian packaging machinery continues its growth

The growth of the Italian packaging machinery manufacturers shows no sign of stopping. According to the preliminary figures published by the Research Department of Ucima (Italian Automatic Packaging Machinery Manufacturers’ Association), the sector’s turnover is expected to see further 6.8% growth to 7.7 billion euros in 2018. Both the Italian and international markets have contributed to these results. In 2018, export sales surpassed a value of 6 billion euros, 6.6% up on the previous year.

Xeikon launches Walldeco Discovery Solution

Xeikon’s breakthrough Walldeco Discovery Solution will convincingly demonstrate affordable, cost effective short run wall decoration production at the Heimtextil 2019 trade fair that will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, January 8 to 11 2019 - Hall 3.0 booth J65. The complete end-to-end digital solution will deliver 1200 dpi at speeds up to 300 m²/hour. The central element in the solution is the 4-colour Xeikon 3050 entry level industrial production press.
