In addition to their existing range of presses with UV curing, KPG Europe is now able to supply presses configured with hot air drying and IR systems. Manufactured to meet ATEX approved standards, the new presses are suitable for use with solvent, alcohol and water based inks.

Fitted with air drying or a combined air/IR and UV curing designed by KPG partners Deutsche Mechatronics, it is now possible to use different types of ink on the one press.   Based on an interchangeable slide-in cartridge system, it is possible to change from one system to another within 30 minutes.

By combining the expertise of both companies, KPG customers’ can benefit from higher returns on their capital investment, through having a press with flexible capability and changing technology, to meet varying production demands.  Glenn Miller, Technical Sales Director at KPG Europe, also believes that the new presses meet customer needs for more cost effective production, in terms of maximum press utilisation, using different substrates and ink types.

Euroflex dual-pass presses provide exceptional value, with up to 8-print units located on a single temperature controlled central impression drum.  With 8-colour printing on both sides of the web, the press can additionally feature varnishing, in-line coating and extra units for printing white on both sides of film and casings, as well as rotary screen, digital printing and foiling modules.

Built for durability and reliable operation 24 hours/day, all Euroflex presses can be specified for non-stop production using in-line fully automatic unwind/rewind systems. Depending on press type, many features are included as standard, such as temperature controlled or chilled central impression drums, chill rollers, corona treater, closed chambers and for casings a unique scraper system enabling 360o printing of all-round graphic designs. Euroflex packaging presses can be specified for label production, printing ABL/PBL tube barrier laminates, films, casings and polybags. Additionally, with the appropriate configuration, all these applications can be handled by ‘Just One’ Euroflex press.
